Bad day turned Good.
So I came back to Cory's room after 7 am only to find him in a lot of pain again...
He had been waiting for an hour for pain meds.
He said he slept some and only got waken up once to be given meds.
Which is bad because he was already playing catch up from yesterday.
So it made it worse.
During the day he gets stuff every 2 hours.
Every 3 at night.
He rated at a 10.
That has only happen one other time in the beginning and should not be happening so far into the game now.
I expressed my concerns to his Doctors.
They upped all his meds so he could catch up and get comfortable.
Finally after lunch things seem to finally be getting better.
Thank you Jesus!
His Case Manager from BAMC emailed me informing me she was arranging transportation for his appointment at the CFI with Dr. G to have his left amputation check up on.
We didn't even know about this appointment.
I expressed my concerns with her and she forwarded my email along with the appointment info over to our social worker at Polytrauma (who we LOVE). She did some leg work to find out a time of the appointment.
Cory should and will be sent with his pain meds to keep it under control this time.
I don't foresee this trip being like the last one.
They don't want to deal with me if it is.
I am generally a nice person until it comes to my husband in unneeded pain.
I mean his pain goal is a 4 for heavens sake!
How in the world that is tolerable to him I'll never understand.
His 4 is like a 7 to me.
Then again I am a wimp lol
After catching up he was able to get his level down to a 3!
AWESOME!
He wanted me to cuddle in bed with him so thats what we did all day and watched/listened to the news.
We got the same nurse tonight and we both instructed her to wake him up every 3 hours.
If I come tomorrow and hear she did anything but...
I will have her job.
The END.
