Pictures of Cory's Journey so far. (VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED, GRAPHIC CONTENT)

Cory and I have decided to share the pictures I have from the beginning of his journey to the current. We will continue to share along the way. I am not going to retell the whole story as you can find and follow on his official Facebook page Team Muzzy. On his page you can find updates and fundraisers. WARNING SOME OF THE PICTURES ARE GRAPHIC IN NATURE, VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. The pictures are some what out of order too so make sure to read the captions! My husband is a 13Bravo (Field Artillery/Cannon Crew member) The M777 blew him up in a training accident at Ft. Bragg, killed one, seriously injured another, and 5 others suffered what they consider minor injuries.  Not to mention how traumatized those who where there or work with him are.  Please if you have any questions, concerns, comments, advice, etc please don't be shy! Feb. 21st. Just got to Duke, after Cory was transferred from Womack. He was in surgery till 4am.

I had been at Womack since 5am and made it to Duke by 5pm.

In Cory's ICU on 6th floor 6 west. We had to wear protection for the first few days.

3rd day in ICU.

I started writing about everything but have become so busy that it quickly ended.

First photo of Cory, 5 days later. I know he looks bad but believe me when I tell you he looks 10x better then when I first saw him.

1st photos of his lower extremities. The dark parts are like sucking sponges called wound vacs. The white patch is a pain patch under his knee.

We call him Mr. Nubby. Again the dark part is a wound vac. 

The unit sent us flowers.

Yes... I do cry sometimes.

The chair/bed! This one was more comfy then all the ones I have tried so far. Duke ICU.

The first time his eyes finally opened. He also got a feeding tube down his nose that he hated.

I was crying and Stark came and held my hands and prayed with me.

This is a part where they skin graphed and took the skin flap and muscle on his left thigh at Duke.

This is his right shoulder. His right side got a lot of burns, shrapnel, & cuts. I pulled out a few rocks. 

Got to see a therapy dog named Hailey at Duke.

At Duke, I think he is looking better :)

His ears were really grungy and had a ton of dirt in them.

Do you see the heart shape scar? He doesn't believe me so I took a picture to prove it to him when he can see again.

Back in his room 2nd floor at Duke he wanted to stay in the wheel chair for a little bit.

The back of his head had a couple of spots of missing hair and the left side was kinda of singed.

Railroad Street Steakhouse threw a fundraiser for Cory and we made a little under $3000.

His head incisions are doing fantastic.

They are putting goop on his nubby. The yellow mesh with the scabbed top peels off on its own and under is that read skin where they took skin for his nubby.

So I pulled the hair out of the hollow tunnel! it was crazy!

Everyone has supported my frosty habit. they are frosty gods! lol

He is happy to see this guy go next week.

This is half of the reason why we picked to just amputate. Its going to be too hard to walk on this thing.  The healing time would take much longer as well. We are eager to learn and get home asap :)

Thank you for everything everyone has done for us.
