Whew! What a day!

Today we met all of Cory's new doctors and residents.
His physical therapist.
His occupational therapist.
Some of his nurses and nursing assistants.

Today he was able to transfer into his complicated ass wheel chair basically with little guidance.
This wheel chair is of no longer any use to us because he no longer has his foot so it's really too big and bulky and makes things more difficult for him, we are looking forward to a smaller more petite & compact chair.

He was able to also transfer onto and off of the throne today all by himself!
That was a major short term goal for us and he did it!
SO PROUD OF HIM!

We are still having trouble controlling his pain but I am sure we will get the hang of it at some point or at least find something that works more. We have got to be able to get him off the push IV meds.

Tomorrow we call to find out what time he is needed for his surgery on Thursday.
They will put him under to take the suture out of his left eye, check on the cornea and depending how much its thinned either just suture him back up or do another cornea transplant. However we are trying to hold out on that as long as we can until the oil needs to be removed since its toxic to the cornea. The oil is needed to aid in the repair of the retina and help it heal and needs to stay in as long as possible. When its time to remove the oil they will do another cornea transplant and then possibly a lens transplant at a later date. Then what ever he is able to see is as good as it will get so keep you fingers crossed and pray real hard for at least enough to get by on. Thank You!

Our new social worker walked me over to the new fisher house I will be staying at.

WOW! What an amazing place!

They really make you feel homey at this one and its like they picked this room just for me because it has one of my favorite flowers in it! orchids :)

Best part is I can park over here and just walk across the street and not deal with the crazy parking over there! lol
