Today was another great day!
His pain didn't get too far out of control and he only had one small spike.
We started off our morning with PT & OT.
He felt the burn today he stretched some stuff he didn't even know he had.
It was so cute, I pulled a "see I told you this wasn't small stuff and is important" jab lol
He said; "shhhhhhhh lol"
After he was cleared to do a shower!
Of course we had to cover his right nubby with plastic and his IV area and a washrag for his eyes.
but he really enjoyed it.
I on the other hand got my pants and flip flops got totally drenched.
But hey...
My husband smells so fresh and so clean clean!
Then his new commander, squad leader, and platoon guy visited him.
Then he had a Nero interview.
Then lunch and we PASSED out for a nap lol
missing his RT group apt. ooooppppsss!
Its ok bc they re-scheduled him for tmw.
Tomorrow will be:
7 am Breakfast and get dressed and in his wheelchair
8am Nero tests
10am ish Snack
11-11:30am RT
Noon Lunch
1pm OT
2pm PT
4-5pm Dinner
5-6pm Sheila visit
6-7 pm go back to Fisher House for the night
I really enjoy them posting every night what are schedule will kinda look like the next day.
It really gives me time to think about what I want/need to do or get done.
Once my athletic gear arrives in the mail.
I will start leaving for the gym at 6pm and wont be back to the fisher house till around 8pm.
I am thinking gym Mon (arms), Wed (abs), & Fri's (legs).
Track on Tue, & Thurs.
Rest days Sat, & Sun.
Sounds like a good plan anyway.
I am really missing home.
I miss my dogs.
I miss my family.
I miss my house.
I miss my friends.
I just miss everything.
I am so thankful I have my older sister and her family here, I just couldn't do this all without her.
The Army can't find us anywhere to stay for free when he becomes and outpatient and goes to the CFI.
If we do the family barracks they will take our BAH.
We need that money to pay for our home in NC.
So that's not an option.
Thankfully my sister has been gracious enough to allow me and Cory to stay with her during recovery.
However, we will need a temp ramp and something small to help get him around the bathroom and someone to deal with the HOA for the ramp. I do not want to make any permanent changes to her home.
Fingers crossed the Army will help with that.
We were told that there is a program that will be build us a handicap home.
of course a bunch of red tape is involved but,
If we could get a fully handicap accessible home that would be amazing.
We would still keep our current home as well because that was my dads and it will stay in the family.
We would have it built back in NC in Roseboro but more in the country thats for sure.
or it may just be a pipe dream who knows.
Well I took some sleep aid so I am going to hit the sack!
Night y'all!
